But the group is not emerging empty handed. “It’s been two years since our last local show,” said lead singer and co-founder Jon Ornee, 30, in an interview from his Holland office. “But we’ll have 10 new songs at this one, and we can’t wait to get back out there.” They will also mix in fan favorites such as “Now or Never.” The band — Ornee, guitarist Chris McKellar, drummer Craig Vanderwier and bassist Josh Blom — have spent time off the road regathering creative energy to produce new music. Friday, October 28 @ 8pm – Ladies Literary Club* (61 Sheldon SE – Grand Rapids, MI) – Please join us for this very special, intimate showcase concert. We’ll be debuting 10 new songs from our upcoming album that we’ve never played Live before! It’ll be a great chance to get fan feedback on the new tunes before we head into the Studio this winter. This show will have a “storytellers” feel to it as we talk about the writing process and share stories about how and why certain songs were written. We’ll also have a ton of interactive, epic “sing along” opportunities. We’ll actually be recording the crowd at this show for inclusion on some of the more epic parts of certain songs that we refer to as “gang vocals”

After 4 years of steady touring we’ve taken almost 2 full years off from traveling to focus on what we love most – family and music. Don’t get me wrong, we love traveling and meeting new friends around the country, but alas a couple of us (Chris and Jon) started having babies and it seemed like a good time to park the Tour Bus (our beloved Rev) for a while. Our siesta from traveling also gave us a chance to step back and contemplate our next batch of songs which I believe will be our greatest collection to date… Continue reading

2008: The year in review…Happy New Year everybody! Just thought we’d take this opportunity to reflect on 2008 by the numbers. It’s been a great and interesting year. A few highlights… 35,400 – miles we’ve traveled over the past year!
